Learning Application of Astronomy Based Augmented Reality Using Android Platform Berry Maleke, Debby Paseru, Rubby Padang. Teknik Informatika, Fakultas Teknik Universitas Katolik De La Salle Manado. Astronomy is a branch of science involving observations of celestial bodies such as stars, planets, nebular comets, star clusters, and galaxies as well as natural phenomena occurring outside the Earths atmosphere. The way of learning of Astronomy is quite varied, such as by using a book or observe directly with a telescope.
But both ways of learning have shortcomings, for example learning through books is only presented in the form of interesting 2D drawings. While learning with a telescope requires a fairly expensive cost to buy the equipment. This study will present a more interesting way of learning from the previous one, namely through Augmented Reality AR application using Android platform.
Augmented Reality is a combination of virtual world virtual and real world real made by computer. Virtual objects can be text, animation, 3D models or videos that are combined with the actual environment so that the user feels the virtual object is in his environment. With the use of the Android platform, this application makes the learning method more interesting because it can be used on various Android smartphones so that learning can be done anytime and anywhere.
The methodology used in making applications is Multimedia Lifecycle, along with C language for AR programming and flowchart as a modeling tool. The results of research on some users stated that this application can run well and can be used as an alternative way of learning Astronomy with more interesting. The Relations of Student Perception towards Teacher Professionalism and Participation in Class with the Result of Science Subject Study at SMAN I Manado B. Mintjelungan aM.
a Universitas Negeri Manado. The subjects of Sciences, taught in High School consist of Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The learning outcomes of science subjects are often less than optimal, so that at the end of the final exam is always held enrichment by the teacher or in the end the students follow the guidance of learning in the institution of courses or other education outside the school. In these conditions besides causing new problems of cost or expenses incurred by parents increased for tutoring and or enrichment, also take up more time for students.
If traced further the actual situation does not need to occur when the learning process runs optimally. Many factors become the cause so that students are less satisfied in learning in the class school and of course become a barrier to student achievement. In addition to psychological factors and internal factors, there are also other external factors. Therefore, the researcher is interested in studying external and internal factors, namely the students perceptions of teacher professionalism and the level of student participation in the class.
Optimal learning quality produces good achievement for students. The level of participation in the classroom is part of the ethnography of the classroom, which has different characteristics and should be understood by the teacher. Therefore the problems in this study are How students perceptions of the professionalism of teachers associated with science subjects learning outcomes in students of SMAN 1 Manado. What is the level of student participation in the class with the result of learning science subjects on the students of SMAN 1 Manado.
The results showed that the level of student participation in the classroom has more relevance to the learning outcomes than the students perceptions of teacher professionalism. Combining Competency and Literacy in the Classroom The Implication of Using T-Ex Approach on Essay Writing Mister Gidion Maru. This paper intends to share the implication of using the t-ex approach or jeremiad approach toward the attempt to shape students competency and literacy awareness in a classroom particularly EFL class.

It is followed by the step of text examination that underlines the presence of possible solution toward the issue by referring to related knowledge and technology, socio-cultural values, and outstanding figures.
It is concluded by the text expectation that proposes the hope of recalling the acquired knowledge and sharing it for future anticipation. All of the steps rely upon the language competence since they use language as a media of constructing and recognizing as well as negotiating the message s. As a qualitative research, this study involves students as the respondents to be interviewed. These aspects summarize the potential of combining the language competence and literacy in the classroom activities.
The students were assigned to iq option 6.3.2 apk an essay on the certain topic, in this case, on the issue of the impact of technology upon human life. The data are interpreted in the way of the grounded theory. Students Perception on The Use of Computer Based Test Rino A Nugroho, Noni Srijati Kusumawati, Okki Chandra Ambarwati. Universitas Sebelas Maret Surakarta, Indonesia rino. Teaching nowadays might use technology in order to disseminate science and knowledge. As part of teaching, the way evaluating study progress and result has also benefited from this IT rapid progress. The computer-based test CBT has been introduced to replace the more conventional paper-based test PBT.
CBT are considered more advantageous than PBT. It is considered as more efficient, transparent, and has the ability of minimising fraud in cognitive evaluation. Current studies have indicated the debate of CBT vs PBT usage. Most of the current research compare the two methods without exploring the student s perception about the test. This study will fill the gap in the literature by providing student s perception on the two tests method.
The sample is collected in two identical classes with similar subject in a public university in Indonesia. Mann-Whitney U test used to analyse the data. The result indicate that students are favouring PBT than CBT. Survey approach is conducted to obtain the data. Further discussion and research implication is discussed in the paper.
